  • Jeff Miller

    Actor, storyteller, producer - Jeff’s creative journey weaves across theater, film, television, and commercials, anchored by academic distinction. Educated at Harvard and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London, he brings decades of experience and a dedication to artistic and emotional storytelling. Jeff’s work with visionary talents like Vince Gilligan (Breaking Bad), Edward Berger (Conclave), and Ron Bass (Rain Man) reflects his commitment to blending creativity with depth. His studies at the University of Pennsylvania’s prestigious MAPP (Master of Applied Positive Psychology) program reinforce Free Yourself’s mission: integrating emotional well-being into every sensory experience. Jeff approaches fragrance as another form of storytelling - living on the skin, lingering in memory, and creating space to flourish.

    With over 30 years of luxury hospitality experience, Todd brings soul and precision to Free Yourself. His leadership at Morton’s on Melrose, Tom Colicchio’s Craft Los Angeles, and 17 years of the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, along with events for the Golden Globes, Emmys, Grammys, major film premieres, and more – cemented his reputation for curating unforgettable spaces for Hollywood’s elite, presidents, royalty, and some of the world’s most influential figures. Todd’s deep understanding of atmosphere, service, and emotional connection is a cornerstone of Free Yourself’s ethos – creating products and experiences that feel both exclusive and profoundly human.

Our Story

Rooted in the belief that fragrance can be a powerful catalyst for emotional and spiritual growth, Free Yourself was founded to create sensory experiences that inspire presence and well-being. Influenced by Jeff’s academic journey at UPenn and the pioneering work of Dr. Martin Seligman in Positive Psychology, we approach fragrance as a tool for flourishing - nurturing the soul, fostering growth, and inviting self-discovery.

Crafted in Grasse, France, our signature scents channel the primal forces of nature: Air, Eau, Feu, and Terre. Every scent is a story. Every box is a ritual. And at the heart of each: the Wordblock - a 300-word mirror of insight, emotion, and curiosity, designed to spark reflection and renewal.

Our Perfumers

At Free Yourself, our fragrances are created by extraordinary artists of scent:

 

Maud Chabanis – Perfumer (AIR & EAU)

Born in southern France and immersed in the world of scent from an early age, Maud brings over a decade of experience to her work. After earning a Master’s in Cosmetics, Aromas, and Perfumes Engineering (ICAP) and graduating top of her class, she honed her craft at Romessence. Her instinctive, nature-inspired style translates emotion into scent with precision and soul.

 

Xavier Blaizot – Perfumer (FEU & TERRE)

Raised in a family with seven generations of perfumery heritage, Xavier trained at the prestigious Robertet Perfumery School, studying under industry legends. He has crafted natural fragrances for brands across Mexico, the U.S., and Europe, blending technical mastery with poetic sensitivity - seeing fragrance as a way to translate memory and emotion into scent.

 

Mentorship by Alain Garossi

We are proud to be mentored by Alain Garossi, a master perfumer whose career spans decades at Robertet, Givaudan, and Quest International. Rooted in Grasse tradition and global olfactory artistry, Alain’s influence strengthens our commitment to combining traditional craftsmanship with modern innovation.

Our Ceramics

At Free Yourself, scent is only part of the story – ritual lives in the details. That’s why our ceramic vessels are crafted in partnership with Farmhouse Pottery in Woodstock, Vermont, a celebrated studio renowned for American-made heirloom artistry.

Each vessel is hand-thrown on the wheel by master potters, shaped entirely by hand from start to finish. No modern machinery. No mass production. Only authentic craftsmanship – honoring patience, material, and tradition. Durable, timeless, and soulful, these vessels embody Free Yourself’s ethos of enduring beauty, intentional living, and sensory connection.
